Increased Connection for People with Attachment Injury or Complex Trauma
The truth is relationships are a fundamental part of being human; we need them.
But very few of us learned by example how to build safe, satisfying, intimate relationships with important others in which we feel accepted, understood, and loved.
Our family of origin, social location, social norms, and experiences of trauma all add additional layers to what we learned about developing intimacy in our relationships.
I support clients who are wanting to heal from attachment injury, find their people, connect more, have less conflict and have more comfortable relationships in which important needs are met.
Therapy for Parents and Adult Children
I work with adult children and parents to heal past wounds, resolve resentment, decrease conflict and grow connection.
Therapy for Couples
I help couples build intimacy by identifying destructive, self preserving patterns and replacing them with skills to grow toward connection.
My Approach with Couples and Families
I use Internal Family Systems (IFS), Relational Life Therapy, (RLT), Buddhist Psychology and Psychodynamic therapy to help people heal old attachment wounds, increase self awareness, learn skills and tools to support greater connection.
Whether you are wanting to connect more deeply with your partners, parents, children, siblings, or others, more connection is possible and I would love to help.
