Welcome
I’m so glad you are here.
I am a psychodynamic therapist offering services to people looking for lasting change around issues such as:
Long standing difficulty in early and current relationships
A sense that you and your accomplishments are never quite enough/Perfectionism
Difficulty with creativity, spontaneity, or feeling you can be yourself
Experiences of acute or complex trauma
Families with adult children
Parenting/Parents of teens
Adult children of alcoholics
Overthinking/Anxiety
Codependency
Grief/Loss
Approach
I use Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Buddhist Psychology, Internal Family Systems (IFS) and mindfulness practices to support clients. If those modalities are unfamiliar to you, that’s okay. Research shows the most important indicator of positive outcomes in therapy is the relationship between you and your therapist. Together we will work to build a safe relationship, without judgement, where you can begin to take risks and find out what is possible.
Sometimes experiences can make it difficult to be present in our lives, to trust ourselves, and to believe that who we are is good enough. Healing through relationships is a fundamental part of being human and we all deserve to suffer less.
My hope is to build a relationship in which you can feel safe, and explore who you are and who you wish to be in this world.
Even if you’ve tried therapy before, I encourage you to reach out and see if we are a good fit.
Contact
I am available for individual and couples psychotherapy, and I reserve a portion of my practice for reduced fee EMDR for teens and first responders experiencing acute or complex trauma.
